Advent Prep [Be Prepared!]

The Irony! Being prepared for Advent, when Advent is in fact, the time of preparing for Christmas.
Once Halloween is over, though, it seems like it is a whirlwind of crazy. You’ve got shopping, you’ve got prepping for meals and parties, you’ve got more gatherings than usual, you’ve got so many other things on your mind. But it really needs to be a time of slowing down to prepare for what the season is all about– which is preparing for the way of the Lord, if you’re a Christian. More than anything we should be keeping at the forefront of our minds that the Lord came, and he’s COMING AGAIN. We’re celebrating his birth day, and at the same time preparing for what he’s promised– that he is coming back again.
Ok so moving along. I realized that the season was coming faster than I anticipated, and so I got to work pour some Advent Candles so that I’d be prepared to share them early enough for people to get them a little bit early this year. I made a little change in that I switched to using Mica flakes for color, which is a bit more natural and friendly than the liquid dyes that I used in the past. They have a slightly less vibrant color, but the trade off is worth it to me. I hope everyone will feel the same. Given that wax melts and dissipates into the air, I wanted to be more conscious of what I’m contributing to what you’re going to be inhaling as far as smoke goes. It’s important that the things that I offer are not only lovely, but good for you, too.
Keeping the wax that I’m using from locally sourced bee keepers is great, too, because I can talk directly with them about their processes and what the bees are exposed to. I like knowing how things work, and where they come from.
Advent candles are available in my shop, and you can reach that from the shop link under the menu in the side bar. Hope you’ll at least take a look and share with someone you know. And thanks for hanging out with me here. I appreciate you!
